2024 County Convention

The Blount County Democratic Party will host its Democratic County Presidential Convention on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at The Bird and The Book, 1509 E Broadway Ave, Maryville, Tn 37804, to select
representation from the county to attend the Congressional District Convention on April 6th. The doors open for registration at noon and will close at 1pm for the Convention to start.  No one will be admitted after 1pm so please arrive early.  Pre-registration is highly recommended.  The Convention runs from 1-2pm.  Light refreshments will be provided.

 

The Convention is open to all registered voters in the county who are supporters of the Democratic Party, have voted in the March 2024 Presidential Primary, and who agree to support the nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2024 Presidential election. The convention will begin at 1pm Eastern.

 

The party welcomes all who wish to participate in selecting Tennessee's delegates to the Democratic Presidential Convention in Chicago the week of August 19, 2024! Overview of step by step process for those wanting to become congressional district level delegates:

• 1st – Vote in Primary Election- March 5, 2024 (early voting Feb 14-27)

• 2nd – File Declaration of Candidacy between Jan 9 and March 7, 2024

• 3rd – County Level Conventions – March 16, 2024

• 4th – Attend Congressional Level Conventions – April 6, 2024
